My name is Katie Rogers I attend Texas A&M University as a biochemistry and genetics double major. I’m a huge science nerd! I’m 20 years old, turing 21 at the end of January. I’m the involvement chair for my sorority, Tridelta, which I absolutely love. My sorority keeps me from being the science nerd that doesn’t have any social skills. I’m also the social chair of the pre pharmacy society and I volunteer at my local hospital every week. My dream is to go to pharmacy school and become a clinical pharmacist that works in a big hospital with a team of doctors to ensure patients are getting the right doses of the right medications.
My current life motto is do what you love, love what you do. I love going to Texas A&M. I love learning cool science stuff. I love being in my sorority. I love volunteering at the hospital. I love my friends. I am generally in love with my life. That doesn’t mean that I don’t have some serious bad days or tons of issues, but I think that looking on the bright side makes life a whole lot more enjoyable.
I use my blog as a way to capture who I am right now. I use it to store my thoughts, my memories, my struggles, my adventures, and my decisions. I’m at that age where everything is important. I’m going through my last moments as a kid and experiencing my first attempts at adulthood. I want to document all the important stuff, like hopefully falling in love, and all the stupid stuff, like trying to learn how to cook a decent piece of chicken.
Welcome to the ride that is my life. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
